mulation base, in northwest China’s Qinghai Province, the nearby government said Tuesday.

The base will be in the red bluff area in Da Qaidam (otherwise called Dachaidan) locale in the Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Haixi.

Arranged at the Qaidam bowl in western Qinghai, Haixi was decided for its Mars-like landform, scene and atmosphere, as per Wang Jingzhai, the prefecture’s appointee Party boss.

The legislature of Haixi and the Chinese Academy of Sciences consented to an arrangement in November a year ago to manufacture the base and have since started talking about the venture area.

The base, including a “Mars people group” and a “Mars campground,” will be transformed into China’s first social and traveler encounter base for space and galactic instruction, Mars-themed tourism, logical research and film shooting.
